How to Make Your Plain Walls Pop!

Jan 7, 2021 | Inspiration, New Products, Trends, Wallpaper | 0 comments

I know a lot of what you read assures you that this or that will help transform a room, and “every plain wall deserves a piece of work, so why not cover it with a smile!” These are the words of renound designer Shawn Lukas. So I’m going to say it – wallpaper really can!

Whether you’re a wallpaper aficionado, or you’re not yet convinced of the glorious impact wallpaper can have on your interiors, perhaps these will inspire! With so many fabulous designs available, you can literally find one to suit any space. I’ve selected a few of my favourites from the latest collections.

Eye-catching pattern

To create a specific theme or to add interest in a small space, a definitive pattern is ideal. This is the Trailing Orchid Design from Osborne and Little. It’s eye catching, and a bit different: a great way to show a bit of personality within your home.

Wallpaper for teenagers

When it comes to decorating teenagers’ rooms, murals can be a great way to add some personality in a way that perhaps parents wouldn’t mind too much! Rebels Walls do an excellent range and this one called Snowboard, would surely be acceptable for any teen?

£33 a square metre

Stylish stripes

Stripes usually tend to create a more traditional, formal feel, yet this Estelle Wallpaper from Sandberg is soft and subtle. I like the light blue shade which is perfect for pairing with natural tones for a laid back Scandi look.

Comes in 5 colourways £74 roll

Deco Style

I love this style, it can come in so many forms this Designers Guild Mandora wallpaper is a classic deco style, this one is on display in the showroom and it looks great.

And now for something tropical…

This wallpaper from Harlequin Mirador collection has been popular with us.  I like the way the design incorporates the botanical theme which has been very popular in 20/21  The fronds are uniformly arranged on the paper and give a stunning effect, bold but pleasing.
