Welcome to the Dean & Co website. This website is owned and operated by Dean & Co, and references to we, us and our are deemed to be references to Dean & Co.

These terms and conditions contain important information, which may be subject to change without notice. Therefore, please familiarise yourself with this information before placing your order, as any orders you may place with Dean & Co online will be deemed to be confirmation that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

PRICES

All prices quoted on the Dean & Co website are accurate at the time of publication, and inclusive of VAT at the current rate.

STOCK AVAILABILITY

All items are subject to availability and may be subject to change without notice, however we aim to inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are no longer available.

ONLINE ORDER AND DELIVERY INFORMATION PLACING AN ORDER

By placing an order with Dean & Co you consent that you have read, understood, and accepted our terms and conditions, and that you accept that Dean & Co will take payment with immediate effect following the placement of your order regardless of whether the items on your order are in stock at the time of purchase.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all the personal information provided is correct, as Dean & Co will not be responsible for any implications resulting from incorrect details entered. Should you notice any incorrect details on your order, please contact us at:

You should inspect the merchandise upon receipt and check that everything specified on the delivery note is included, and that no items are damaged. You have 14 days whereby you may return the items on your order to us, providing they cooperate with our returns policy.

If you fail to take such action within this time, Dean & Co are under no obligation to accept any rejection by you of the merchandise at a later date. You will be deemed to have accepted the order unless you notify us upon receipt that there is a problem, or you cancel the order in accordance with your cancellation right and/or you return the goods in accordance with our returns policy. Your statutory rights are not affected.

We are unable to amend any details to your order once it has been processed and despatched by our warehouse, however prior to this, we may be able to amend certain details on your order further to your written consent. We will not however add any items to your order, nor can we combine shipping for any additional orders placed.

Once you have placed an order, an automatic confirmation email will be sent to your given email address, notifying you that your order has been received, however this is not a confirmation that your offer to purchase the goods has been accepted. Our formal acceptance of your order will take place once your order has been fully despatched.

We may not accept your order if an item you have ordered is out of stock, if we have identified a product or pricing error, or if we are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel your order at any time.

Please note that we retain the legal ownership of all merchandise until full payment has been made by you and received by us and legal ownership of the merchandise will immediately transfer back to us if we refunded any payment for the merchandise to you. Risk in the merchandise transfers to you upon delivery.

CANCELLATION RIGHTS

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the legal right to cancel your order, provided that you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or services. If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will make the reimbursement no later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied.

DELIVERY & SHIPPING

All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change without notice. We accept no liability for any deliveries made before or after our delivery schedule.

Delivery Charges

Standard Delivered within 3 – 5 business days.

UK Mainland £12.00 (Excludes Aberdeenshire & Scottish Highlands)

If you reside or require delivery to an address outside our normal delivery area, please contact us to request a quote. We will then be able to take your order via telephone if you wish to proceed.

All products will be delivered by UPS, you will be notified when your order has been despatched via SMS or email if mobile number is not provided. To change your delivery instruction preference, you must download the UPS My Choice App or contact our customer services team at sales@deancointeriors.co.uk   Once you have downloaded the App you will be able to set your delivery preferences. If you are unavailable for delivery you can request that goods are left in a safe place, delivered to a neighbour, diverted to an alternative address, or delivered to a local UPS access point. Please ensure that the safe place you choose is protected from the elements and is guarded from public view to avoid damage and theft. Please note we will not be liable for any loss or damage once the driver has delivered to the ‘safe place’. Should you not download the UPS app and are unavailable to accept delivery your parcel will be sent to a local UPS access point ready for you to collect.

For security reasons, parcels may require a signature.

We hope you are happy with your order, but if for any reason you are not, please read on for our returns policy.

All goods sold on our website can be returned for a refund. All items must be returned with original packaging and tags in re-sellable condition.  We strongly recommend that you return all items via registered post so that you have proof of dispatch in case an item is lost. Please make sure you have sufficient insurance cover especially when returning valuable products. We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit. Please note also that postage cannot be refunded.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your order at any time from the moment you place your online order, and up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods.  You must notify us via email within 14 days of receiving your item if you wish to return it for a full refund. You then have 14 days in which to return the item to us for a full refund.  If 14 days have gone by since receiving your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange unless your goods are faulty.  

Delivery charges

Our Standard delivery charge is £12 per order.  This cost will be added to your basket at checkout.   We do not offer a fast-track service for delivery.  You will normally expect to receive your goods up to 7 days from the date of your order.  You will be re-imbursed for the delivery cost for returning unwanted items, provided they are returned within the 14-day period.  We recommend you get proof of postage for the items We strongly recommend that you return all items via registered post so that you have proof of dispatch in case an item is lost. Please make sure you have sufficient insurance cover especially when returning valuable products. We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit. Please note also that postage cannot be refunded.

All returned goods will be examined upon receipt. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, If the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will process your return as quickly as possible and will notify you by e–mail once your refund or replacement has been processed.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Your payment for the goods will be refunded by Dean & CO as soon as possible by the original payment method, no later than 14 working days after we have received the goods. Please note that the cost of returning your goods will not be refunded. In addition to our returns policy you have the legal right to cancel your order within fourteen working days from the date of receipt of the goods if you send us a notice of cancellation in writing and return the goods to us in their original, unopened and unused condition.

Refunds 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. 

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds 

If you have not received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at sales@deancointeriors.co.uk and send your item to: Dean & Co. c/o Hatfields Furniture Store, Peartree Road, Colchester Essex CO3 0LA 

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Dean & Co. c/o Hatfields Furniture Store, Peartree Road, Colchester Essex CO3 0LA.   

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

GOVERNING LAW

The Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.
