Will my motorised blinds need to be connected to the mains electric?
Your motorised blinds can be wired or wireless – you choose. Most commonly customers choose the wireless option with the blinds powered by rechargeable battery. The wired option can be more convenient if you have a large number of blinds, for example on a conservatory roof.
Our motorised curtain tracks simply plug in to a mains socket.
Are they easy to operate?
In the main we use the Somfy system for blinds and curtains and it is straightforward to use. Our expert Chris will talk you through everything when your blinds or curtains are fitted and will make sure you are all set up and ready to go. You can use your home hub, a remote control or your smartphone to control your curtains or blinds and we also provide wireless wall switches. Sensor and timer options are also possible.
Our team has been trained by Somfy so they are well equipped to help you to get the very most from your motorised blinds or curtains.
Can I try out motorised blinds and curtains before I order?
You can try our complete range of motorised blinds and curtains for yourself at our showroom at Hatfields Furniture and Interiors in Colchester. Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Can motorised blinds and curtains be integrated with my home automation system?
Yes! We predominantly use the Somfy system which can be easily integrated into home automation systems such as Lutron or Z-Wave.
