As someone who loves beautiful fabrics, I’m spoilt for choice on a daily basis. And even more so this year because there are so many wonderful nature-inspired fabrics available. I’ve selected some here that I think would complement a wide range of interior styles. Which is your favourite?
I love the intricate design of this fabric. It brings botanical beauty into your home and makes quite a statement. The combination of summery colours complements almost any colour scheme; it will look especially striking against a darker blue or green-painted wall. It’s digitally printed on a lightweight linen and the design is perfect for wonderfully elegant curtains, blinds and cushions.
This delicate, misty tree print landscape works wonderfully on curtains, helping to create fluidity and interest without added colour. I think this a really good choice for neutral colour schemes were you’d like to see some sort of connection with the outdoors.
You can’t go anywhere this summer without spotting a flamingo or pineapple! Embrace the tropical home theme this season by creating your own piece of paradise with this palm tree collage-effect print. It’s fresh, contemporary and works beautifully with wooden furniture and flooring.
So many of Sanderson’s designs are timeless, and this is no exception. The fabric has delicate fine filigree outlines of leaf and flowers patterns which provide pretty detail against the sunny background colour. This collection works really well as part of a pastel colour scheme, and the detail adds a touch of interest that I think looks fantastic.
I was in Lavenham in Suffolk recently, admiring the wonderful buildings there. And this picture reminds of of those houses. Pretty garden florals on linen create an elegant look that would look beautifully quaint in any room working to achieve cottage-garden appeal.
Blinds don’t need to blend into the background. Add interest and create a sense of fun with this colourful, geometric bird print. Need to add some panache to a downstairs cloakroom? Or liven up a home office? This fabric is perfect for creating eye-catching blinds.
