Interiors and home decor trends for 2016

I love the way interiors trends are going at the moment and into 2016. The ethics of home décor and design appeal to those concerned about living more healthily and more ethically in times that are racing towards a more digitalised, gadget-filled future.

The theme of ‘bringing the outside in’ continues to develop. Natural products and Nordic influences feature strongly and are mixed. There is a leaning towards more vegetation in bathrooms, and kitchens, well, anywhere really! Windows and spaces with clean lines are interrupted by nature.

Fabrics are embracing pattern, history and colour, reflecting the mix of old and new that we’re seeing in furniture and room design. Antique is mixed with modern, and as a side effect of that, gadgets are hidden away.
